Eastleigh MP Mims Davies is urging local people to have their say over plans for the Botley bypass. A consultation on the reviewed and more detailed proposals developed at Hampshire County Council for the road that will relieve congestion and pollution in the village is now ongoing and ends on 29th July. Exhibitions will also be held for local people at The Botley Centre in the village High Street on 21st June: 2pm - 7pm, 22nd June: 2pm-7pm and 25th June: 1pm-4pm.
“This is one of the infrastructure projects that I said I would help deliver when I was elected and great progress is now being made,” said Mims.
“The county council is pursuing funding opportunities through the Solent LEP and other public and private sector contributions, and producing business cases for the scheme before planning permission is sought and it’s really important that people have the chance to make their views known and they can be fed into that process, so ensuring we have the best scheme possible and one that local people can support.”
