Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has welcomed a 66% drop in unemployment in the constituency since 2010.
New figures show that 495 people were jobless last month in Eastleigh, down 945 from six years ago.
Nationally, the employment rate remains at a record high, youth unemployment is down and wages are rising.
“These excellent figures show the Government has been very effective at keeping people in work and encouraging a business climate where jobs are created, and this is great news for the country and people in Eastleigh,” said Mims.
“Falls in youth unemployment and 1.1 million more women now employed than in 2010– a record number - are also very important achievements over the last six years.”
