Eastleigh is a brilliant place to live and work.
Urbanised in places, much of our community is surrounded by water giving it a rural feel, with green spaces, significant woodland and open countryside that urgently needs protecting.
The area has two motorways nearby with seven railway stations and Southampton International Airport. The airport is strongly linked to Spitfire, where the first test flights took place.
There is a ferry in Hamble linking over to Warsash in Fareham; a strong boating community and sought-after area for those attracted to water. There is also the disused Itchen Navigation running in the north of the borough.
Iconic sites in the area are Netley Abbey and Castle, the Bursledon Windmill and the AGEAS Bowl amongst others.
There is a strong retail sector with flagship stores for M&S, Sainsbury's and others. The B&Q HQ is also within Eastleigh Borough.
