Surfers Against Sewage

Mims Davies MP met with Tim LeRoy, long term supporter of Surfer’s Against Sewage (SAS), to take a short walk on their local beach to discuss and view the massive problem with water quality, marine and sewage litter that is being washed up on the shoreline.Mr LeRoy highlighted his concerns on this stretch of The River Hamble that contains several sailing clubs and thousands of moorings but it emphasized is a global and urgent environmental issue.

Mims Davies MP Leads Debate on Carers

Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has paid tribute to Britain’s 6.5 million unpaid carers, including 10,000 in her constituency, during a Parliamentary debate.Mims said not enough was done to support carers or recognise the vital contribution they make to those who receive their care and to the country. If those people went on holiday, she asked, how would the emergency services cope and “who would pick up the slack if those 6 million carers did not turn up for work one day?”

Message in a Bottle Campaign

Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has taken delivery of ‘message in a bottle’ containers for distribution to constituents so that vulnerable people can leave details for the emergency services to find.In the event of an accident or illness, the bottle has a form inside containing relevant medical information for medics or police officers who attend to find.
