Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has helped raise £200 for the Haven Breast Cancer charity appeal by organising a cake sale and coffee morning at Bursledon Community Centre on Friday.
Café Celeste based at the centre in Portsmouth Road, Lowford, hosted the event and made donations from their sales for the appeal.
Many people brought along donated cakes that customers ate with their coffee, with people coming from Botley, Hedge End, Hamble, Bursledon and West End to help raise money.
“This was a great event that really has helped this worthy cause,” said Mims.
“Many thanks to the owners of Café Celeste for helping with the morning – it really couldn’t have been done without them and also to all those who donated cakes and turned up on the day to raise a magnificent sum to support anyone affected by breast cancer.”
Jordan Walsh from Cafe Celeste said," We are community focused here and were delighted to continue that by joining in with the £1 million Tea Party event to support the Haven and their Breast Cancer support centres."
The Haven is a national charity providing personalised care and support for people with breast cancer, helping them to achieve the best possible quality of life.
