The Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, Mims Davies, has welcomed the initiative from Haywards Heath Rugby and Football Club to fundraise for a new Clubhouse in Whitemans Green.
Mid Sussex and the wider reaching areas would hugely benefit from an updated sports pavilion which includes a state-of-the-art changing facility for women, youth, and those with disabilities. This will be a multi-functioning facility with the foresight to provide a range of sport facilities as well as a social hotspot. HHRFC are already in talks with businesses, such as South East Water, to encourage them to use the clubhouse as a community hub. Not only will this facility benefit Mid Sussex but aims to reach all corners of South East England. Planning permission has been secured, despite the impact of Covid-19, the Club is working to continue to maintain momentum for this vital project and “Buy a Brick” is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and help make this happen.
How you can help:
£500 per brick with 3 payment options:
One off payment of £500
5 x £100pm for 5 months
10 x £50pm for 10 months
As an investor into the new club, your name will be added to the virtual brick wall to be displayed on the site of the building during development and will be seen on the new Clubhouse once built.
You can buy a brick on the Hayward Heath Rugby and Football Club’s website: www.hhrfc.co.uk/
Commenting, MP for Mid Sussex and President of HHRFC, Mims Davies said:
“As former Sports Minister and proud President of Haywards Heath Rugby Football Club, and an avid runner myself, I believe this investment to be a true lifeline to so many of us who are active participants in sports and also to those who follow spectator sports. It will help develop young people who have an interest in sports and serve as a learning centre for so many. They have a brilliant team and support network, let’s build on this and help them have an amazing clubhouse that is welcoming to all”
Commenting, Councillor Pete Bradbury for Cuckfield on Mid Sussex District Council, said:
“It’s great to see the progress of this brilliant sporting project that will have real significant benefits for the whole of the Mid Sussex community.”
