The Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, Mims Davies, is supporting carers across Mid Sussex and the whole country.
This year Carers Week took place between 8 – 14 June is a particularly important issue to Mims as she cared for both my mother and father during their later lives and was the previously the chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Carers.
Commeting, the Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, Mims Davies said:
"I am proud to support and celebrate all carers. The coronavirus pandemic has shone a light on the vitally important work they do and there has never been a more important time to recognise and support unpaid carers in particular. Millions of people are sacrificing more than ever before to ensure their loved ones stay safe, and providing significantly more care than they were before. I personally know how challenging caring is for families and how much our hidden carers matter. they are making a huge difference every day to the lives of their relatives and loved ones and we want to make sure carers are visible and valued across Mid Sussex and beyond."
