This Saturday local MP, Mims Davies, will again be taking part in Small Business Saturday as she drops in to businesses across West End and Eastleigh, having previously marked the celebration of small businesses in Boyatt Wood, Fair Oak, Hedge End and Botley.
Commenting, Eastleigh MP Mims Davies said:
“We are really lucky to have so many amazing small businesses across our area, and Small Business Saturday is always a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people behind those businesses, and of course for all of us to support them by shopping locally!
“This Saturday I’ll be dropping in to the Eastleigh Sewing Centre, AC Models and Smiths Butchers in Eastleigh, while also visiting Visions (MS) Ltd, Music Post Box - Ukulele Heaven, Beales Gents Hairdressers and Bakers Dozen, all in West End.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting the people behind these local businesses, chatting to their customers, and, if I’m lucky, seeing and tasting some of their products…eg cakes! Our small businesses are at the very centre of our communities, providing a place that people can come together, and start up a conversation.
“Starting up your first business is generally a pretty daunting task though, which is why I’ve been so impressed by Kat who I’ve been mentoring alongside Lloyds Bank as she builds up her own local small business, Kat’s Bakery.”
