As of the 23rd December - Ahead of the move to Tier 4 on Boxing Day the latest from MSDC leader, Jonathan Ash-Edwards, said:
The Government is moving the whole of Sussex to Tier 4 of Coronavirus restrictions. This will apply from Boxing Day. There will be further business support grants available from Mid Sussex District Council shortly for those impacted.

Updated on 16th December - Business Grants in Mid Sussex
I previously informed businesses of Mid Sussex about the grants and schemes available to them and I am happy to update you that Mid Sussex District Council (MSDC) received 260 grant claims and awarded over £147,000 to help local businesses, community groups and voluntary organisations recover from the coronavirus pandemic!
If you did not find the time to make a claim please do not worry on the 15th December Mid Sussex District Council have reopened the website to receive applications for the Discretionary grant and this will not close until Sunday 10th January 2021. MSDC aim to get these payments out just as quick as they have been doing so. If you have previously applied for a grant and been rejected, you can reapply in this period.
All applications must be made online via https://midsussex.grantapproval.co.uk/. This application period will again be the same across all Councils in West Sussex and all Local Authorities in West Sussex bar Adur & Worthing will apply online via this approved third party system.

To date, Mid Sussex District Council has paid 341 Local Restriction Support Grant (LRSG) business grants! They will continue to take applications for the LRSG national grant after the 1 December 2020. Businesses that are closed – such as bars – from the 2 December 2020 will be able to apply for a new Tier 2 LRSG grant at https://midsussex.grantapproval.co.uk/.
