Mims and Cllr Lunn speak on the proposed plan for 1700 houses at Owlsbury, to the west of Uckfield.

Mass Overdevelopment in our Constituency can’t go on.
During the weekend, I joined Cllr Michael Lunn, our Uckfield Mayor, Councillors, and other concerned individuals for a walk just outside Uckfield regarding the Owlsbury Development.
1700 homes via multiple piecemeal approaches are being proposed. The cumulative impact of this on Uckfield and the surrounding area will be absolutely huge and we can’t be building on our stunning landscape, destroying ancient woodlands and bringing astronomical pressure to infrastructure like the roads.
Very interesting timing as we had votes on the Planning & Infrastructure Bill throughout this week, which I can confirm I voted against - a more substantial statement on this soon.
