Mims Davies MP in Buxted speaking with Residents and Engaging on Local Issues
That is why speaking directly with residents is so important to me. No briefing paper, report or meeting can replace hearing from people who live and work in our communities and experience these issues every day.
Mims wants residents in Buxted and the EGU constituency to feel that they have a voice and that their views genuinely matter. That means making time to meet people, visiting local communities, listening to concerns and, importantly, feeding those views back into the decisions and debates that take place at Westminster which is exactly what Mims has been doing since being elected.
Politics works best when it is connected to the people it is supposed to serve. Mims' commitment is therefore simple: to keep listening, to keep engaging, and to make sure the views of Buxted and EGU residents are heard.
Engagement should not simply be about listening when an election is approaching. It should be an ongoing conversation. Mims wants to understand not only what residents are concerned about, but also what they believe could make their community better.

As an MP, one of the most important parts of my role is listening to the people I represent here in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
I'm here in Buxted which is a community with a strong sense of identity, and residents rightly want to know their concerns, ideas, and experiences are being heard and they're being represented both locally and in Parliament.
Whether the issue is housing, local services, transport, infrastructure, the environment or the pressures facing families and businesses, good representation starts with listening.
