Mims Davies MP in East Grinstead campaigning with Conservative Sussex Mayor Candidate, Katy Bourne OBE
Katy has a number of priorities including transport, defence and security, housing, and more.
Katy Bourne OBE was raised and schooled in Sussex before graduating from Aberystwyth University. She still lives in Sussex, is married to Kevin and has two adult sons and two step-daughters.
Katy has travelled the length and breadth of our beautiful county and has noticed the changes to the volume of traffic and the quality of our roads and understands peoples' frustrations.
She believes we have to sort out our transport issues, especially if we want businesses to grow and thrive and more people to live, work, earn and learn here, we need better connections and quicker, easier ways to get around.
The government announced they're spending £39bn over the next 10 years on affordable and social housing with an extra £10bn going to Homes England.
As PCC, Katy has already been working on a project with Homes England, the Ministry of Justice and a number of the local authorities to build and deliver modular, affordable, low-carbon homes for key workers in Sussex. The local company she's working with is also training and upskilling prisoners to build these homes and we know that, when offenders leave prison, they are less likely to re-offend if they have steady employment.
It's these skills that Katy wants to bring to the job as your Mayor and that's why she is looking to you to select her as your Sussex Mayor.

Lovely to be out in East Grinstead during the weekend with some of the gang knocking doors for Katy Bourne, Sussex Mayor Candidate.
Massive thanks to Cllr Jacquie Russell and Ed led by Pierre our branch Chair - really interesting chats that don’t fully reflect the polls - people do want to see more from us on our values and principles - they are just about ready for that! Fingers coming out of ears.
Katy is very well liked and known and people see her as a local East Grinstead girl who will be a great Sussex Mayor for residents.
We also met some potential new party members and Councillors too who want to shape the future of our great Conservatives party which is always fab.
The time to shape our future is now. Fight harder, push together and we will come back - that is certainly what Kemi Badenoch is made of.
Bring on Conference this is our time to shine through.
This is the belief we can, and must, show our voters.
