Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has given her support to the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal to raise funds for terminal cancer care.
The month-long campaign, which starts tomorrow (1st March), will see thousands of people across the country join together to raise money for Marie Curie Nurses.
By collecting, donating, shopping or doing something they love to raise cash, they will be supporting people living with a terminal illness, and their families.
Mims heard about the charity’s work at an event in Westminster where she also met Luke Robertson - who recently became the youngest Briton to reach the South Pole solo, unassisted and unsupported to raise funds for the charity.
“Marie Curie do a quite wonderful job helping those with a terminal illness to have comfortable and dignified last days,” said Mims.
“It’s a charity that is also there for the families who go through a so much at what is always a terrible time.
“I know that Marie Curie nurses do this difficult job with compassion, humour and professionalism and I will be supporting the charity this month with a donation and I urge others to do the same.”
