Mims was thrilled to join Bonners CE Primary School for their assembly as part of the Be Internet Legends programme by Google in partnership with Parent Zone.
Be Internet Legends - Helping children be safe and confident explorers of the online world.
To make the most of the internet, children need to make smart decisions. Be Internet Legends empowers younger children to use the web safely and wisely, so they can be confident explorers of the online world.
Every Word Matters:
- Treat online communication the same as face-to-face communication.
- If it isn’t right to say, it isn’t right to post. If in doubt, get guidance on what kind of communication is (and isn’t) OK.
- Personal details about family, friends – and yourself – should stay private.
Schools can now more easily spread activities and lessons across a range of age groups and assess progression – as well as use the interactive lessons to save planning time.
So far, over nine million children have been reached across the UK and Mims is thrilled to include the students of Bonners CE Primary School in East Grinstead and Uckfield in this number.

"It was fantastic to join the students at Bonners CE Primary School for a #BeInternetLegends assembly teaching children about media literacy and ways to stay safer online.
Be Internet Legends is an interactive educational programme from Google and Parent Zone which helps primary school children across the UK become safer and more confident explorers of the online world.
There are lots of free resources available for teachers, including downloadable lesson plans with ready-made Google Classroom slides and interactive national assemblies open to all primary schools (parentzone.org.uk/nationalassembly). Schools can easily spread activities and lessons across a range of age groups and assess progression – as well as use the interactive lessons to save valuable planning time.
Thank you very much to Bonners CE Primary School for allowing me to join your assembly and for making me feel so welcome."
