Mims Davies MP joins official opening of East Grinstead Banking Hub
Mims has honoured to join the official opening of the new East Grinstead Banking Hub as the local MP today, describing it as an important step in protecting access to essential banking services for local residents, businesses, charities, community organisation, as well as for the most vulnerable and elderly residents of EGU.
The new Banking Hub will provide customers with access to face-to-face banking services on the High Street, helping to ensure residents who rely on in-person banking are not left behind as more services move online.
Mims attended the official opening of the Hub, alongside the Mayor, Councillors, and representatives involved in the project and seeing first-hand the facilities now available to people across East Grinstead and the surrounding area after a huge amount of hard work and persistence more Mims and the team.
Mims Davies MP said:
It was fantastic to join the official opening of the East Grinstead Banking Hub after lots of hard work getting it in place and to see this important service now available to local residents.
While online banking has brought many benefits, we must make sure people who need face-to-face support are not forgotten. For older residents, vulnerable customers, and those who run local businesses, charities, and community organisations, having somewhere they can speak to a real person can make a huge difference.
As you can see in my video, face-to-face meetings with high street banking providers are available on:
Monday - Lloyds, Halifax, Bank of Scotland
Tuesday - Barclays
Wednesday - Natwest
Thursday - HSBC UK
Friday - SantanderThis is about more than banking — it is about keeping essential services accessible and making sure East Grinstead remains a thriving and well-connected town.
