Mims Davies MP was pleased to join VisitEngland in Parliament discussing local tourism for East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
Mims spoke with Visit England about the work they carry out and the LVEP and had the opportunity to raise the issue in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages of suitable accommodation.
We of course live in a beautiful part of the world with amazing businesses such as vineyards, which people would like to visit, but often the capacity of suitable accommodation is what is completely lacking.
Mims also asked if VisitEngland could look into this further to have improve tourism in her constituency and boost customers visiting local businesses.
It was also raised that Mims would like to meet in the future to discuss the tourism industry in our area.
Mims Davies MP said:
I was very pleased to have the opportunity to join the VisitEngland team in Parliament to discuss local tourism in our constituency of East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
Tourism is crucial for our local economy, creating jobs for local residents and supporting our incredibly hard working small businesses.
It was very useful to meet my local tourism body and representatives from VisitEngland and learn more about just how much tourism benefits us here in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
I look forward to booking a meeting in with VisitEngland to discuss this further and in more detail.
