It was an honour to welcome Shadow Secretary of State for DEFRA, Victoria Atkins, to join me in Ardingly for the always brilliant Winter Fair South of England Agricultural Society
We were even lucky with the weather on Sunday!
Vicky had the pleasure of meeting Show Chairman, Alan, and we all discussed the challenges being faced by the agricultural industry and the terror being faced with the looming Budget from Rachel and the Labour Government coming this Wednesday.
We can only hope that the Chancellor has listened to residents and will scrap the farm tax which is destroying farming family businesses across EGU and the UK and threatening our food security.
A big thanks to all the volunteers, trustees along with the vendors, stall holders and see the exciting new ice rink at the site.
A wonderful opportunity to back our local food producers and shop local in our community.
