Mims Davies MP shares new Summer Train Timetable
During the Summer school holidays, timetables for trains in East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages have had some changes made - be sure to look out for these changes before making any plans.
Mims is acutely aware of the issues residents are facing with local transport and the frustration, upset, and stress this is causing whether with trying to get to work or spend time with friends and family.
As our local MP, Mims is in constant communication and booking meetings with GTR and Network Rail to raise the issues constituents have raised and to see how they can work together to improve these services for residents.
As Mims is always saying, there is proof nagging works and MP stands for ‘most persistent’.
Mims Davies MP said:
There are new changes being announced to the train services from May and over the Summer.
The next national rail timetable change is for journeys from Sunday 17th May
For Thameslink, Southern, Great Northern and Gatwick Express services, changes are limited and additional services will run on the East Grinstead line with small changes made to the times of trains across the network to improve punctuality.
Alongside this, between mid-July and the start of September changes will be made to services to match the changes in demand seen as residents change their travel patterns over the school Summer holidays.
This will see a combination of earlier trains running between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria, more services during the middle of the day for some stations making it easier for people to go on days out.
Additionally, a small number of services will also be withdrawn on some routes where the number of peak time or off-peak passengers falls over the school holidays.
A summary of these changes is also available on their websites.
