Mims Davies MP thrilled to host Inaugural Jobs Fair in Uckfield with over 24 businesses and over 100 residents
Mims Davies MP was delighted to host her inaugural EGU Jobs Fair in Uckfield.
This event brought together more than 24 businesses, charities and organisations with over 100 local residents looking to explore new employment opportunities, part-time work, seasonal work, develop their careers, find apprenticeships, and connect with businesses in their local area.
This provided an opportunity for local employers to meet with jobseekers face-to-face, and hear from residents looking to develop their skills with opportunities growing our local economy.
Mims took time to thank the Uckfield Civic Centre for hosting the event and ensuring attendees were well taken care of.

What a fantastic inaugural EGU Jobs Fair!
Today saw the very first EGU (East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages) Jobs Fair in Uckfield, and what a brilliant event it was!
We were absolutely delighted to welcome over 24 local businesses and more than 100 residents looking for jobs, volunteer opportunities, apprenticeships and more.
It was a fantastic atmosphere, with some great conversations, new connections, and plenty of enthusiasm from both employers and jobseekers.
A huge thank you to every single business, organisation, charity, and resident who helped make our 1st EGU jobs fair such a success, and to the Uckfield Civic Centre for hosting us!
We’ve had a fab time, and it’s safe to say this definitely won’t be the last one!
