Mims Davies MP thrilled to join Uckfield Banking Hub official opening
Mims Davies MP has welcomed the official opening of the new Uckfield Banking Hub on the High Street, following months and months of hard work to help secure improved face-to-face banking services for local residents.
Mims was thrilled to join residents, local representatives and the team behind the new facility for its official opening today, having worked closely with Cash Access UK and others to help bring the permanent Banking Hub to Uckfield.
The new hub will provide an important lifeline for residents who value being able to access banking services in person, particularly elderly and more vulnerable people who may find online banking difficult or prefer face-to-face support.
The opening follows the success of the permanent East Grinstead Banking Hub, which Mims has also worked hard to help establish, demonstrating the importance of protecting access to cash and essential banking services in local communities like East Grinstead, Uckfield, and the villages.
Mims Davies MP said:
What a day!
I was absolutely thrilled to join the team today for the official opening of the permanent Uckfield Banking Hub.
This is the result of a huge amount of hard work with Cash Access UK and partners to make sure Uckfield residents and local residents have access to the face-to-face banking services they need.
Following the success of the permanent Banking Hub in East Grinstead, I was determined to see Uckfield benefit too. For many residents, particularly older and more vulnerable people, being able to speak to someone face-to-face is incredibly important.
Banking is changing rapidly, but we must make sure that nobody is left behind.
This new hub is a fantastic addition to Uckfield and I am delighted to have played a part in helping make it happen.
