Mims Davies MP thrilled to share Lloyds U-turn during Chelwood Gate Community Afternoon Tea
Over 100 MPs including Mims Davies MP wrote to Lloyds Bank sharing their resident's outrage over Lloyds deciding to no longer accept cheques at their Banking Hubs.
Mims Davies MP said:
It was lovely to join the Chelwood Gate Community Afternoon Tea this week with fabulous residents and even better conversations.
This gave me another chance to hear firsthand from residents about their concerns and local issues, as well as the opportunity to share the great news that Lloyds Bank have made a u-turn and will now be allowing cheques again at banking hubs.
Pleasing to know too Royal Mail will be providing a visiting post office counter in the village shortly. Our villages and towns must not be overlooked!
As your MP along with over 100 MPs from across all parties wrote to Lloyds saying this is unacceptable and needs to be reversed.
We have Banking Hubs here both in East Grinstead & Uckfield and it is crucial they allow cheques because not only do our smaller businesses, charities and organisations rely on this, but so do our more vulnerable and elderly residents.
