Mims Davies, the Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex has called for constituents to support local radio stations during this ongoing crisis.
Tuning into local radio is a great way to hear about events happening during normal times and during the COVID-19 outbreak many local radio stations including those in Mid Sussex have consistently promoted the Government’s message of staying at home to protect the NHS and save lives helping to ensure as many people as possible adhere to the lockdown.
Commenting, the Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, Mims Davies said:
“I worked in radio after leaving University and know just how vital a role local radio stations play in promoting community causes. Across Mid Sussex we have a great selection of station and I am proud to support them all, including 107 Meridian FM in East Grinstead, Burgess Hill Radio and Mid Downs Radio at the Princess Royal Hospital. I have included below links to all of their websites.
“At this time of uncertainty when many organisations and companies are cutting their advertising budgets and with many community events being cancelled the support we as communities can give to our local radio stations is more important than ever.”
