I’d the pleasure to visit the Uckfield Community Rehabilitation Hub at the Community Hospital meeting the dedicated staff and volunteers who make such a positive difference every day.
The Hub provides invaluable support to people recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, helping them regain their fitness, independence, and confidence closer to home. Seeing the compassion, professionalism, and commitment of everyone involved was very inspiring.

My casework team and I have followed this visit up with NHS property services it is vital happening at this key local facility and the various guises of NHS services delivered in the locality. There remains huge interest and my casework team and I will keep close with all the local staff, management and leadership asking the questions you want answers for.
South East Water has shared details with me of a new updated scheme to support the agricultural sector during unplanned water supply interruptions. I had a pre meeting with their new CEO in Westminster, John Halsall, last week ahead of his formal commencement to raise the ongoing questions, concerns and issues my constituents have.
I have spoken with South East Water a lot regarding the recent outages, and they now recognise there is a gap particularly for farmers and those with small holdings, so they have worked with stakeholders from DEFRA and colleagues at other water companies to develop this framework.
Following lessons learned from previous incidents, they state they have formalised their commitment to supporting farmers and livestock businesses.
During an unplanned interruption, SE Water say they’ll use reasonable endeavours to provide alternative water to those who have a minimum of six livestock animals through either.
Bottled water: For critical immediate needs, primarily for young or vulnerable animals, where appropriate and feasible.
Bowsers: Mobile water tanks to deliver bulk water to accessible locations.
Static tanks: Temporary fixed tanks deployed at strategic points for ongoing supply.
Tanker deliveries: Direct delivery of bulk water by tanker to on-farm storage if suitable access is available.

With the loss and deeply tragic circumstances of Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe at this awful time my thoughts are with her loved ones. As we come to terms with this heart-breaking situation and we try to understand what has happened to this great lady; who was a true force of nature, true to herself and was an inspiration in her forthright approach to me when growing up.
