Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has heaped praise on the local Citizens Advice staff for their ‘fantastic support’ during a celebratory event in Westminster.
Commenting, Mims said:
“Citizens Advice have long been at the very centre of our communities, and the organisation plays an active role in supporting people across my Eastleigh constituency.”
“Working form their offices in Leigh road, as well as from their outreach services in Hedge End and Bursledon, Citizens Advice offered guidance to 2608 clients in 2017 alone – an incredible figure.”
“MPs really value the hard work done by the volunteers at Citizens Advice to give constituents the information they need on a whole range of issues – everything from benefits and tax credits, to employment, relationships and family issues.”
“By working together, and by gathering crucial feedback during the regular meetings held between the Eastleigh branch and my office, we hope to best assist constituents with their issues and concerns – and to feedback to the Government so that necessary action can be taken.”
“I’m looking forward to welcoming the Eastleigh Volunteers to Parliament again in a week’s time to give them a private tour of the Houses of Parliament.”
Citizens Advice has a vital network of 300 local Citizens Advice members across the UK, sharing knowledge and best practice so people can expect the same quality of support across the service that they provide.
