12 volunteers from across Neighbourhood Hampshire attended a meeting with Mike Penning MP the Minister of State for Police, Justice & Victims of Crim
A roundtable discussion which Mims Davies facilitated included Neighbourhood Watch coordinators from Eastleigh and Bursledon amongst others and the Chairman Bob Combes and Margaret Filley President of Hampshire Neighbourhood Watch. Mike Penning was visiting them at the Southern Parishes Conservative club in advance of meeting the Chief Constable of Hampshire Police. The Minister was delighted to hear the frank, considered views and to be able to pick up on the best practice here in Hampshire.
Mims said, “The hard work and commitment these volunteers give our communities cannot be underestimated. They look out for friends and neighbours and really add value to our Community. It was great Mike was able to spend so much time listening to their ideas and address any concerns. The excellent relationship between the volunteers and the Police was great to hear more about. Truly an inspiring morning".
