Mims Davies, Prospective MP for Eastleigh has welcomed new figures showing 701 fewer people in Eastleigh are now claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance since 2010 - a 56 per cent drop. This means more people bringing home a regular pay packet – with the self-respect and sense of security that a good job brings.


As part of our long-term economic plan to secure a better future for Britain, the next Conservative government will triple the number of Start-Up loans to at least 75,000 by the end of the decade. That will mean that on current trends the scheme will have created at least 100,000 jobs across the UK by 2020, meaning thousands more people with the security of a regular pay-packet.


We are making sure our roads are safe and fit for the 21st century. Mims Davies says, “It’s great news for everyone that potholes and poorly maintained roads will be given investment and will make life that bit easier for people who use the roads to get around safely”.
