TTIP emails

Many people have written to lobby re their concerns re the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the NHS.Despite the concerns raised I believe that TTIP does NOT require us, the USA or any other Country to open up their health systems to private providers.The accusations of privatisation are unfounded and is smiply scaremongering.  

Ageas Bowl Visit

Sports Minister, Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP came to see about the community involvement at the Ageas Bowl on Monday 9 February. He met the Commercial Director Stuart Robertson and the Chairman Rob Bransgrove and the team.Mms Davies said, “It was great to see the work with the community, the school children and to hear about the increasing participation levels in the sports based at the Ageas Bowl. Exciting summer coming in the venue and we wish them success in the expansion of the centre”.Sajid Javid left extremely impressed after his visit to Hampshire Cricket Club. 

County Matters

Mims Davies met with Cllr Roy Perry, Leader of Hampshire County Council where they discussed the continued work going on to improve services for the county. Mims Davies said “It was great to discuss the work Hampshire County Council is doing and the commitment to pouring resources into better roads, school crossings and making energy savings. I was really pleased to be able to raise key issues particularly on highways to Cllr Perry and we will get some traction on vital areas where residents and local Conservative campaigners have raised issues." 

Record Numbers studying in Eastleigh

Mims Davies has welcomed the news that more students in Eastleigh are studying the core academic subjects which will help them to get the best start in life.

New Jobs

Mims Davies, Prospective MP for Eastleigh has welcomed new figures showing 701 fewer people in Eastleigh are now claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance since 2010 - a 56 per cent drop. This means more people bringing home a regular pay packet – with the self-respect and sense of security that a good job brings.
