Mims Davies MP is calling for schools to join 'Be Internet Legends Day' on Tuesday 28th November, 2023.
Be Internet Legends by Google, in partnership with Parent Zone, is an online safety programme – helping children become safer, more confident explorers of the online world. It provides free teaching resources, assemblies, and much more, and no extra training is required for teachers.
Not only are there resources for teachers and schools, but parents can also access free downloadable activities to help understand and support a child's online world.
Be Internet Legends Day is a brilliant opportunity to join schools across the UK for a one-off virtual assembly, featuring some special guests, as well as parents and families having the opportunity to join and stream from home.
If you're interested in being involved, you can register for updates and resources here. Any UK schools that teach children between the ages of 7 and 11 years old can download and/or request the brilliant resources for free.

"Registration is now open for the annual pupil celebration event - Be Internet Legends Day - on Tuesday 28 November at 9.30am!
I'm calling all schools in Mid Sussex with pupils aged 7 – 11 to join in! Join Google and The Parents Zone for Be Internet Legends Day where this year’s focus is on being kind, and celebrating positive behaviour online!
This brilliant programme helps pupils to learn the skills and behaviours they need to be safe and confident online with lesson plans based around five internet safety pillars:
- Think Before You Share (Be Internet Sharp)
- Check it’s For Real (Be Internet Alert)
- Protect Your Stuff (Be Internet Secure)
- Respect Each Other (Be Internet Kind)
- When in Doubt, Discuss (Be Internet Brave)
