Eastleigh MP Mims Davies has chosen 4 winners of her Christmas Card Competition and visited her local Royal Mail sorting office thanking the Eastleigh team for all their hard work throughout the year.
Pupils from across the Eastleigh constituency submitted wonderful designs to be on the front of the newly elected MP’s Christmas Cards.
Mims said “It was such a treat to see so many wonderful artistic and talented pupils getting involved in this year’s competition.
It was very hard to choose between such strong competition but in the end there were four winners from Wildern School, Quilley School, Bursledon Junior School and Wyvern College.”
The winners of the competition are to be invited up to Parliament for tea and a tour with Mims Davies.
Visiting the Royal Mail Eastleigh Delivery Office Mims said “It was great to meet all the team at the Eastleigh Delivery Office. I saw just how much hard work goes into getting our Christmas presents and cards to us on time.
“We printed and designed 1000 cards and sent which have been sent to community clubs, sports teams, charities, pubs and community leaders across the constituency.
“I’ve had lots of compliments from people locally about the Christmas card designs and look forward to meeting the talented winners early next year. It was such a successful competition I will be running it annually.”
Christmas Cards from the newly elected MP have also been landing on the doormats of schools, businesses and other local organisations and groups.
Mims worked alongside Hamble Valley Press who provided top quality printing that does the artwork justice.
