Mims was delighted to host 6th Former Kate Heinrich-Jones for two days of work experience in her Westminster office and is keen to attract more students to take this opportunity of working in Westminster.
Mims said ‘Work experience is such a helpful way for young adults to explore potential careers, and I am always delighted to provide my constituents interested in politics with the opportunity to spend some time in Westminster or my Constituency Office.’
Kate said ‘I enjoyed my time in Parliament, and had a really valuable insight into an MP’s day-to-day schedule. I attended various meetings and events, and it was great to sit in the House of Commons and House of Lords to watch the debating take place.’
Mim added ‘I was particularly impressed with the insight she provided on Care, given her work in a local care-home, and on sport, as an avid player of Women’s Rugby. We wish her all the best for her up-coming political studies at University.’
If you are a young adult interested in pursuing a career in Parliament and would like to explore the possibility of joining Mims’ team for some work experience, then do not hesitate to get in touch.
