As of the 17th July Govia Thameslink will be changing how tickets are paid for at their Burgess Hill car park.
This change will see Automatic Number Plate Recognition, or ANPR, being introduced at a further 13 stations to bring it into line with the 62 station car parks where it is already in use.
They are working with their car park managers, APCOA, to provide information about the change in advance for users at each car park so they are aware of the upcoming changes.
Customers will be able to pay for their parking by phone, through APCOA’s app, via the account-less SCANPAY system or online on APCOA’s website. The ANPR system also allows customers to pay later online if they are unable to pay when they arrive, with the ability to pay up to 24 hours after arrival.
If you pick up or drop of at their car park most of their ANPR stations have a 20-minute grace period after arriving.
The full list of car parks which will see ANPR systems introduced and be in use from the week commencing 17 July are:
- Gordon Hill
- Bayford
- Palmers Green
- Hendon
