Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, Mims Davies, today showed support for next month's Great Get Together to celebrate what unites us and Jo Cox's #MoreInCommon message.
Inspired by the late Jo Cox MP and her message of unity, twice a year people are encouraged to come together in their communities and make new connections. In June, on the weekend closest to Jo’s birthday, these community events bring to life her ‘more in common’ message. In January, Great Winter Get Together community events demonstrate the power of meaningful connection to reduce loneliness.
During her time as the Minister for Loneliness, Mims emphasised the need to work collaboratively to tackle loneliness.

Commenting, Mims said:
We need to remember that while we may have our differences, we have far more in common than that which divides us. So many volunteers all over the nation give up their time to continue Jo’s valuable legacy. That’s why I am pledging my support for the Great Get Together this June, in memory of Jo Cox.
