Every one of us has, I am sure, been impacted by cancer in one way or another. Being tested for and receiving the news that you, or someone you love, has cancer is a very difficult and worrying time for everyone involved.
Although there is good headway into understanding this disease, there is much more to learn as well as people and their families to support in the meantime, which is why I was very happy to be able to join the recent Macmillan coffee morning hosted by the Oak Barn Restaurant in Burgess Hill.
With a huge array of cakes baked by staff and their family members and a lovely cup of Earl Grey tea, it was not a hard event to support! Looking around the packed coffee area, it was clear lots of other people thought that too.
A big thank you to all those who held or attended a local coffee morning in support of this great charity.
