We really do have some amazing and diverse local and growing businesses and food producers here. Last Wednesday I was delighted to showcase some fantastic local products to my fellow MPs and their teams at our first ‘A Taste from Across Mid Sussex’ event in Parliament. It was fantastic to hear such positive feedback from those who attended and give these businesses an extra boost. Thanks to all who attended and to those constituents who suggested many of these brilliant products.
It was wonderful to join local religious leaders at the annual Parliamentary Prayer breakfast. A magnificent, poignant address on the power and challenge of reaching forgiveness was given by the inspirational Dr Amy Orr-Ewing in the stunning Westminster Hall.

On the 75th anniversary of our health service, it was important to see the Government making the largest single expansion in NHS education and training in its history with the much wanted and needed work force plan-we’ll train twice the number of doctors and an extra 24,000 more nurses a year, helping to cut waiting lists and improve care by putting the NHS on a surer long -term footing. Details can be found on the NHS England website
