He is risen. I’d the great pleasure of joining a magnificent Easter Celebration service at the St Peter and St John the Baptist in Wivelsfield with a very special choir. A wonderful, packed service to be a part of and I’d like to thank all who helped organise such a lovely morning. I hope everyone had a brilliant Easter weekend with such lovely weather at last for families to be together.
In Westminster I was thrilled recently to present Dr Lisa Cameron MP, as Minister for Disability Health and Work, with the first ever Disability Entrepreneurship Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of all she has done for disabled entrepreneurs in Westminster. Her Parliamentary work, alongside UK Government initiatives will continue to unlock the talent of thousands of disabled and neurodiverse entrepreneurs by identifying barriers they face.
I’d the pleasure of attending the Independent Brewers Parliamentary Reception supporting our hard-working local independent breweries and discuss ways in which we can all further support them. The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) launched their new manifesto with a focus on fairness for independent brewing. The brilliant Heathen Brewers from Haywards Heath recently showcased again in Westminster and the Missing Link from Chiddinglye are the types of micro brewers who need to be heard. That’s why following the success of my second ‘A Taste from Across Mid Sussex’ Parliamentary event, I’ll be having my third this September. If you’re a local business and have a new product you’d like to launch or have something to celebrate – where better to launch than in Parliament with a huge audience! Please get contact if you’d like to join in.
