Esther McVey MP, the Employment Minister visited GW Martin & Co Ltd in Eastleigh where she was shown work and training being done at this local manufacturing company.
The Employment Minister said “It was a fantastic eye opener seeing the work done by new apprentices at GW Martin Machining Specialists in advance of being in Eastleigh ahead of BBC Question Time.”
In this Parliament we have cut tax for an estimated 43,957 people in Eastleigh and taken 4,575 people out of tax altogether.
The claimant count rate in Eastleigh for people claiming benefits has fallen down by over 64.2% compared to the month before the last election when the rate was lowly3.0 per cent. That’s fewer people claiming unemployment benefit meaning more people in work with the security of a regular wage.
